Hello Fellow Puzzlers!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day and has had a great month! I want to start off by thanking you for subscribing to my newsletter.
Since this is the first "official" one, it's going to be a doozy. Feel free to skim when needed or even skip around to the parts that interest you the most.
In the future, I plan on sending out my newsletter on a regular basis. The goal is once a month.
What's Been Going On
I've had this website for a long time, but this is the first official newsletter going out. You may be wondering why it's taken so long. . .
- Up until last October, I worked a full-time job in addition to working on the site. There's only so many hours in a day, and it's hard to balance being a wife, mother, employee, website creator and have time to relax. Since I'm not longer an employee, this has freed up some time to work on other things in my life.
- You may have noticed 3 banners added to the site sometime last year asking visitors to support their local lupus, cancer and Alzheimer's associations. In addition to having to work on some personal health issues, I've had to deal with my grandmother passing from Alzheimer's, my mother's cancer surgery and passing away, as well as, our daughter's lupus diagnosis. Despite having to deal with all the grief, our daughter is doing much
better.
Life has changed significantly since I created my first word search 5 years ago, and I expect it to change a lot more.
I appreciate your support and patience as I discover what works and doesn't work.
Websites Updates
I have just a few updates pertaining to the website:
- I've updated the website logo. You still might see items I've created with the old one, but going forward, everything will be branded with the new one.
- I've added an online shop to the website. You can purchase printables without ever having to leave the site. The only exception is the printables subscription (which I highly recommend) and bundled products.
- If you haven't already completed the website survey, please do so as so as possible. I will be removing it from the site soon.

Future Plans
I absolutely love creating puzzles for Words Are Fun and have so many ideas on expanding not only the website but beyond.
Things I'd like to add to the website:
- More crossword puzzles. I have some but plan to add bunches more.
- Word scramble puzzles. I have created a few but according to the survey so far, visitors are wanting more.
- Coloring pages. I know this is not puzzle related, but who doesn't like to color?
Things I'd like to branch off of the website:
- A YouTube Channel. I would love to create quizzes, trivia, word searches, etc. for people to watch online.
- Books. I would like to create fun puzzle books for people to enjoy.
I don't have a particular timeline for my future plans, and although these are the plans as of today, they can always change. I'll keep you guys posted!
